WoW Strategies - Basics
So, let’s talk about some of the
really basic facts about the game itself. Players control
characters, or more commonly referred to as avatars. They can
either be control in first person or third person view. A
character can either belong to either Horde or Alliance, but
not both. When you first enter the game you have to choose a
realm, or server, which is just the world you’ll be playing in.
They’re 4 realms to choose from, Normal or PvE (Player vs.
Environment), PvP (Player vs. Player), RP (Role Play), and
RP-PvP.
Characters are further broken
down into races, 10 to be exact, 5 in Horde and 5 in Alliance.
They are:
Alliance:
-
Draenei
-
Dwarves
-
Gnomes
-
Humans
-
Night
Elves
Horde:
-
Blood
Elves
-
Orcs
-
Tauren
-
Trolls
-
Undead
Apart from choosing either Horde or
Alliance and the actual race, you also choose the class of
their avatar. These are a few:
-
Druid
-
Hunter
-
Mage
-
Paladin
-
Priest
-
Rogue
-
Shaman
-
Warlock
-
Warrior
-
Deathknight
World of Warcraft strategy is all about
questing, or carrying out tasks and missions. They usually
involve killing a creature, locating an object, or visiting
a specific location among other things. As you go through
various quests you’ll gain experience point, items, or in
game money. Your avatar will also gain talents and skills
and you will need to decide on your characters profession
such as:
-
Alchemy
-
Blacksmithing
-
Enchanting
-
Engineering
-
Herbalism
-
Jewelcrafting
-
Mining
-
Leatherworking
-
Tailoring
-
Skinning
-
Inscription
Those are the primary professions,
there’re also several secondary professions. As you gain
experience points your character gains a level, which gives
you the chance to gain new skills and talents, discover new
areas and attempt new quests.
