WoW Death Knight Guide

Click Here - Ultimate WoW Guide + Death Knight GuideThe Death Knight is a hero class that was introduced with the release of Wrath of the Lich King. Death Knights are considered a hybrid class combining magic and melee. The WoW Death Knight Guide will introduce you to this class and give you some pointers on playing it.

Death Knight Overview:

As I mentioned the Death Knight class combines magic and melee, and is especially effective at melee. Death Knight can be incredibly devastating to enemies as they are great tanks, and their anti magic abilities make them dangerous to most magic users. In this WoW Death Knight Guide I’ll go through what Death Knights are and what their strengths and weaknesses are. The Ultimate WoW Guide includes talent and gear guides for all the classes including the Death Knight, so it’s defiantly worth checking out, just click below.

In order to unlock the Death Knight you have to have a level 55 character, which I won’t cover in this WoW Death Knight guide. A great aspect of this class is they can be any race in Horde or Alliance.

For Alliance some good races would be:

·           Night Elves- Especially good for PvP

·           Gnomes

·           Dwarves- Stone forms make them great for tanking

For Horde some good races would be:

·           Tauren’s War Stomp- Very good for both PvP & PvE

·           Forsaken’s will of the Forsaken- Also great for PvP & PvE

Honestly you can choose any race and you’ll be good to go.

Death Knight Guide to Pros and Cons:

Pros:

·           Heavy Plate Armor- Great at melee

·           Uncommon & Rare Gear- From Starting Zone

·           Uses Runic Power and Runes- Give unique play compared to  mana, rage or energy

·           Wield 2 Handed Weapons- Awesome for Tanking

·           Anti Magic

·           Can Heal with Blood Magic

Cons:

·           Can’t unlock until Level 55

·           Can’t tank with shield

·           Can be somewhat complicated to play

WoW Death Knight Guide to Runic Power:

Unlike other classes which use energy, mana, or rage, Death Knights use Runes and Runic power. It’s important to understand that this is a little different from other power. You’ll start out with 6 Runes which are consumed when you use you various abilities; however they regenerate every 10 seconds.

The 3 types of Runes you have are: Blood, Unholy, and Frost. You have 2 of each.

Here are some abilities and their required Runes:

·           Death Strike: Costs 1 Unholy & Frost; it’s an instant cast ability and no cool down.

·           Icy Touch: Costs 1 Frost

·           Blood Boil: Costs 1 Blood Rune

These different abilities can be put together in a number of combinations to be used on enemies. However mastering how to combine them is very important or you could find yourself out of runes for the 10 second regeneration time. This is beyond the scope of this guide but check out the WoW Death Knight Guide that comes with the Ultimate WoW guide.
