WoW Druid Guide
Like tanking sometimes and healing at
others? Do you like different play styles, but can’t
decide on just one? Then the druid class may be perfect
for you. I’ll show you why in the WoW Druid
guide as well as talk about some of their
strengths, weaknesses and abilities.
So why is the Druid class great for those
players who like to change up their roles and playing
styles? Because the druid is sort of a jack of all trades or
master of all trades.
However you will need to be either a
Tauren or a Night Elf in order to be a Druid. As I mentioned
Druids are good at tanking, healing and
DPS. One of the
most interesting things about Druids is that they’re shape
shifters. They can shift into Bear or Dire Bear for tanking
or Cat for Melee. This ability to change roles makes them
excellent for groups and raids where they can fill pretty
much any role. They are also excellent in PvP. The first
things we’ll look at in the WoW Druid guide are some of the
Druid’s strengths.
So let’s look at some of their
strengths.
- Healing and Tanking: As mentioned
above, Druids are excellent tanks and
healers.
- PvP: They are not only formidable but
also make great allies.
- Crowd Control: Druids are especially
resistant to crowd control.
- Stealth: Like the Rogue, Druids in
Cat form can stealth.

- Instant Run Speed boosting
buff
- Resurrection: This is the only class
with the ability to resurrect during
battle.
As you can see Druids have some real
strengths but no WoW Druid guide is complete without
mentioning some weaknesses.
-
Not as Strong as
Specialized classes: Although they can tank, heal,
melee, and DPS they aren’t as good at these things
as classes that specialize in them.
-
Armor: Druids can
only wear cloth and leather, leather being
preferred. In order to play the various roles
you’ll need multiple sets of armor.
-
Difficult to Master:
This is one of the hardest classes to master. It’s
best for players who can easily manage lots of
abilities and roles.
As with other classes, Druids have some
defining abilities and spells. One thing about the Druid is
that their difficult to eliminate. That’s because of several
of their abilities. One, their ability to get free of most
forms of crowd control. Second, is that they can instantly
increase their run speed. Thirdly, as mentioned earlier
their ability to stealth. Finally their ability to
incapacitate an enemy.
They are very efficient healers in that
they use little mana and time. Their also very good escape
artists. All of these abilities in the right hands make the
Druid either a difficult enemy to overcome or a worthy
ally.
So if you absolutely can’t decide on any
one class to be, or you just like playing different roles
and styles ever now and then, this is the class for you.
You’ll feel as if you’re switching from one class to
another.
