WoW Herbalism Guide
Herbalism is a primary profession and is
one of three gathering professions which provide a great
opportunity to make gold. Some professions in WoW
complement one another and in the case of Herbalism it
complements both Alchemy and Inscription. The following
WoW Herbalism guide will give you the
basics of getting started with this profession.
As with any other profession, the first
step is to locate a trainer. They are easily found in the
large cities but if you do have difficultly finding one just
ask a guard. You’ll often find an Alchemist near the
Herbalism trainer making it really convenient to learn
both.
With skill level 300-375 you can be a
master in Herbalism; just head to Hellfire Peninsula for
training. At skill level 375-450 Alliance players can go to
Valgarde in Howling Fjord or Valiance Keep in the Borean
Tundra to train to the Grand master level. Horde can head to
Vengeance Landing in Howling Fjord. A WoW Herbalism guide
come with the Ultimate WoW guide and will take you through
level to 450 in the easiest and most profitable way. Check
it out at the link below.

Once your trained up you’re good to go,
you won’t need and special items. The only thing to have is
lot of bag space to put what you pick in. Tailors can make
special bags that actually have slots for carrying herbs.
Herbs and plants can be found anywhere even underwater and
in cave so keep a look out for them. Don’t miss a chance to
pick herbs especially because any unused ones can be stored
and sold to other players in the Auction House. Get a WoW
Herbalism guide that’ll help you level the fastest way
possible. Once you get the Find Herb ability all the herbs
that are near you will show up as yellow dots on the map,
make sure to keep this ability active.
To pick a plant it’s really simple just go
up to it until the action cursor is active, now you can pick
it. Unless that is you don’t have the needed skill level,
all plants have a minimum skill level to be picked. Also one
thing to know is that easier herbs to harvest are in lower
areas and harder ones are in the higher zones. As I
mentioned, herbs can be found anywhere including treasure
chests, instances and by killing certain
monsters.
As you come across a herb you want to pick
you can hover your mouse over it to get a color coding. The
colors refer to the likelihood that it will increase your
skill level. Here are the colors:
- Red- You can’t pick this herb because
of insufficient skill
- Orange- High chance of increasing
your Herbalism level
- Yellow- Moderate chance
- Green- Low Chance
- Gray- No chance of increase your
skill level
Leveling to 450 is beyond the scope of
this WoW Herbalism guide but as you level up to level 450
you will gain the Lifeblood ability which allows you to heal
by absorb energy and nutrients from the earth. You Lifeblood
power increases as you level up your Herbalism skill. There
is a 3 minute cool down with is ability. In levels 1-75
you’ll be able to heal to 300 over 5 seconds. When you reach
levels 350-450 you’ll be able to heal to 2000 over 5
seconds. For the most efficient leveling path for Herbalism
get a WoW Herbalism Guide that’ll walk you
through.
