WoW Horde
Guide
All the races in World of Warcraft belong
to one of two warring factions. They can either be members
of the Alliance or the Horde. In the following WoW horde
guide I’ll take you through an introduction to the 5 races
that make up the horde.
There’re five races that belong to the
Horde they are: Blood Elves, Orcs, Tauren, Trolls, and
Undead. Choose your race carefully as they have their own
strength and weaknesses.
WoW Horde Guide to Races
Blood Elves:
Blood Elves were once High elves but
renamed themselves after their Kingdom was destroyed by the
Scourge during the Third War.
The Blood Elves mount is the Hawkstrider
and can be purchased outside of the capitol of Silvermoon
City in Thuron’s Livery.
Many Blood Elves belong to the mage and
warlock classes. Some also become warriors and
hunters.
Orcs:
Orcs have a long history as warrior and
it’s reflected in their race. They can have the following
character classes: Death Knight, Hunter, Rogue, Shaman,
Warlock, and Warrior. Orcs start in Durotar, The Valley of
Trials. Large wolves also known as Worgs are the Orcs’
mount.

They specialize in using the ax and if you
really like fighting with brute strength then this race and
one of its associated classes may be right for
you.
Leveling horde is accomplished fastest by
using a good WoW Horde Guide. One that I personally
recommend comes with the Ultimate WoW Guide.
This guide also has class specific guides
which are perfect for leveling and playing your avatar
well.
Tauren:
Tauren are another great choice for those
who want to do a lot of combat. They not only have strength
but also endurance.
They have an ability known as the War
Stomp. The War Stomp is the Tauren’s ability to communicate
with spirits and have them shake the Earth and stun their
enemies.
Because of their large size the mount
selection is limited. One mount is the Kodo, a large
reptile.
The classes that can be played by this
race are as follows: Druid (Exclusive to Tauren), Shaman,
Hunter, Warrior, and the Death Knight. I won’t go into
playing to specific classes in the WoW Horde Guide, for that
check out my recommended class guides.
Trolls:
Trolls are one of the least played races
in WoW. They start in the same place as the Orcs, in The
Valley of Trials. They specialize in Throwing Spears, and in
combat will go into Berserker state which allows them to
cast spells and attack faster.
Classes that can be played with this race
are: Priest, Rogue, Warrior, Mage, Hunter, and Shaman. Their
mount is the Raptor.
Undead:
Undead, also known as Forsaken, start in a
western area of Tirisfal Glades called Deathknell. Classes
that can be played are: Death Knight, Mage, Priest, Rogue,
Warlock, and Warrior. Their mount is the Skeletal Horse. Two
traits of the Undead that give it some advantage over other
races is their ability to stay underwater because they don’t
need to breath and they can eat the remain of other races
and gain their strength back.
