WoW Paladin Guide
In this WoW Paladin guide you’ll find
information on what a paladin is and how to level your
paladin and some strategies specific to this
class.
What is a Paladin:
Introduction
The Paladin is the
holy knight or righteous warrior of the World of Warcraft.
This class combines both the Priest and Warrior class in
one. So if you like elements of both classes but want more
options other than just combat like the Warrior or being a
supporting character like the Priest, then the Paladin class
may be a perfect fit. Paladin is allowable for Humans,
Dwarves, Draenei, and Blood Elves.
In battle the Paladin
is a formidable foe. I’ll show you some of their strengths
later in the WoW Paladin Guide. They wear heavy armor that
can withstand even the toughest combat. On top of this they
can wield massive weapons that destroy their enemies such as
the Undead. These include two hands maces, axes, swords, and
polearms. As you can imagine Paladins are difficult to
kill.
On the other hand they
can heal their wounded allies and resurrect the dead.
Paladins’ aura, healing, and blessing ability make them
ideal for groups. A thorough WoW Paladin Guide will show you
the specifics of leveling this class, one is included with
the Ultimate WoW guide.

WoW
Paladin Guide: The Basics
Spells:
As secondary spell
casters Paladins can cast spells called Seals. These give
them bonuses during battle, but only last about 2 minutes.
The bonuses range from being able to inflict more damage to
generating mana. Mana is absolutely necessary for the
Paladin as it is the magic energy that allows you to cast
spells and use your other abilities. Without it you will be
limited in your abilities and easier to
kill.
Seals can also provide
Judgment on your enemies. This can do any number of things
from inflicting more damage to preventing them from
fleeing.
Auras:
Paladins can cast
powerful auras that provide groups with buffs. They have a
large bubble 30-40 yards. Auras last until they’re
changed.
Blessings:
Blessings are similar
to auras and apply to characters. They only last 10 minutes
but can provide benefits such as mana regeneration and
increased attacking power. One of the challenges with
blessings is to remember to use them on everyone as
needed.
Professions:
In this part of the
WoW Paladin Guide I’ll show you some good profession combos
for Paladins.
-
Herbalism
+ Alchemy: Save mana by healing with
potions instead of healing powers.
-
Mining
+ Blacksmithing: Make your own armor
instead of obtaining them through quests and the
Auction House.
-
Mining
+ Engineering: Gain ranged attack with
grenades and other gadgets.
-
Skinning
+ Leatherworking: Makes some money but
limited use to Paladins.
In the beginning it
may be good to combine gathering professions such as
combining skinning with mining or herbalism, in order to
make money to buy armor and other gear. Check out part 2 of
the WoW Paladin Guide for more info on playing the
Paladin.
