WoW Rogue Guide

Click Here - WoW Rogue GuideIf you love combat and dishing out brutal damage to your enemies then consider the Rogue class. The Rogue, being a Melee DPS class, is designed for just this type of play. In the WoW Rogue guide I’ll go into some of the basic strengths, weaknesses, and some of their talent builds.

You may have come here looking for a Rogue gear and talent guide to help you level up. I recommend the Ultimate WoW Guide, because it comes with a Rogue talent and gear guide as well as guides for all the classes, professions, races, factions, and a guide for leveling and making gold. Check it out by clicking the link below or the image at the top right, you won’t be disappointed.

Anyway let’s talk about some of the Rogue’s strengths.

High DPS (Damage/Second): This is one you’d expect of a good Melee fighter.

Stealth: This is one of the signature strengths of Rogue, being able to sneak up on enemies only adds to their fighting abilities.

Hard to defeat in 1-on-1 PvP: For this, make sure to gear up correctly, specifically to give you more Resilience attribute. This will make PvP more survivable. The WoW Rogue guide included with the Ultimate WoW guide will show you how to gear up for the best leveling.

The Rogue does have a couple of weaknesses.

Primary target in PvP: Because they are seen as dangerous they are often a primary target for PvP.

Dual wielding reduces the hit and damage ratio of the off hand weapon.

There’s no doubt that the Rogue is fun to play, but having the right talent build based on your own play style is essential. In the next part of the WoW Rogue guide I’ll talk about some of these builds. Each talent build fits into one of three groups. They are:

Assassination: I’ll talk about the Mutilate build.

Combat: We’ll look at the Combat Swords build.

Subtlety: We’ll take a look at the Subtlety build.

First the Mutilate build. This build is based on dagger and poison. Poison is absolutely essential. One weakness of this build is of course if the enemy is immune to the poison or able to dispel it. This is a great build for inflicting quick bursts of damage. Here’s a list of some good talents to have.

  • Mutilate: Instant 2 handed attack
  • Hunger for Blood: Enrages you, increasing you damaging ability
  • Improved Poison: Essential Talent
  • Master Poisoner: Increases critical chance of your attack 3%.
  • Vile Poisoner: Increase damage of poison and Envenom ability
  • Dual Wield Specialization: Essential

The Combat Swords build is good for sustained, high DPS. Sinister Strike is an essential ability for the Rogue in this build. This is a great build for leveling. Here are some good talents to have.

  • Duel Wield Specialization
  • Killing Spree
  • Improved Slice and Dice
  • Blade Flurry
  • Blade Twisting
  • Surprise Attacks

The Subtlety build is a great build for the Rogue as it takes advantage of their stealth ability. Here are some useful talents to have.

  • Honor Among Thieves
  • Premeditation
  • Preparation
  • Sinister Calling
  • Initiative
  • Elusiveness
