WoW First Aid Guide

Click Here - WoW First Aid GuideNo matter what class you are, even if you’ve got good healing spells, having the first aid profession is highly recommended. The WoW First Aid guide will give you some insights and tips on training in first aid.

As I mentioned first aid is great for any class. That’s because with the ability to heal yourself your down time will decrease. Your ability to heal others makes you a great addition to any group. First aid is a secondary profession, which uses bandages to heal. You can make bandages from various cloths that you’ll be able to use as you level up your skill. Higher quality cloth makes bandages with greater healing power. The various cloths are as follow:

  • Linen: This is available at starting skill level; Healing power 66 (114 Heavy) over 6 seconds
  • Wool: Seek a trainer at skill 115; Healing power 161 (301 for Heavy) over 7 seconds
  • Silk: Seek a trainer at skill 150; Healing power 400 (640 Heavy) over 8 seconds
  • Mageweave: Seek trainer at skill 210; Healing power 800 (1104 Heavy) over 8 seconds
  • Runecloth: Seek Trainer at skill 260; Healing power 1360 (2000 Heavy) over 8 seconds

  • Netherweave: Learn from book at skill 330; Healing power 2800 (3400 Heavy) over 8 seconds
  • Frostweave: Seek Grand Master Trainer at skill 350; healing power 4800 (5800 Heavy) over 8 seconds

Heavy bandages require 2 pieces of cloth as compared to the regular 1 cloth bandages. The books can either be found in the wild or in various stores. For skill 125-225 expert first aid you’ll need Under Wraps book. It can be purchased for 1 gold. For Alliance get it in Stromgarde Ruins from Deneb Walker. For Horde, go to Brakenwall Village in Dustwallow Marsh and get it from Balai Lok’Wein.

For skill 225-300 you need to do a special quest. You’ll need to be at level 35 and skill 225. If you are Alliance go to Theramore Isle and find Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen. For Horde go to Hammerfall in Arathi Highlands and find Doctor Gregory Victor. For more detailed guides check out the WoW First Aid guide I recommended earlier.

Skill 300-375 Master First Aid. To get this skill get the book from the Temple of Telhamat for Alliance. If your Horde get it from Falcon Watch. You can also get the Netherweave books here as well.

You can only use bandages when you aren’t taking any damage and you’re standing still. If you do move or take damage the healing stops. You keep what healing you have. Also don’t try attacking while healing because you can’t inflict damage while healing.

One tactic you can use in PvP is to stun your opponent and then use the bandage. This should give you enough time to restore a good amount of healing power especially with the heavy cloth bandages.

A really good guide to leveling this profession is the WoW First Aid guide that comes as part of the Ultimate WoW guide.
